The basic plot of a human with godlike abilities is too much like the episode "Where No Man Has Gone Before." Okay, this time, the bad guy is a teenager and god knows how they can be rebellious or make stupid things at times. And I understand that the kid had no guidance on human relationship before, but still... no remorse whatsoever after destroying a whole ship? Why did they have to go with the Almighty=Evil equation again?

That being said, the tutoring imposed on Kirk gave very interesting scenes. And the variety of mischievous tricks Charlie plays on the crew surprised me.

The casting for Charlie was perfect: I truly hated the kid. And I was quite happy of the ending, even if it felt a bit like a deus ex machina resolve.
